The only difference here being that in my experience when you merge you only get yourself or the merging tribe leader in the tribe and the rest are left in the old tribe. You just need to recruit them too. All the buildings/dinos are merged over unless personal ownership is enabled.
You cannot crossplay with any other platform if you are playing Ark: Survival Evolved on a Mac or Nintendo Switch. You can cross-gen, so PlayStation 4 players can play with PlayStation 5 players, and the same goes for Xbox.

allied tribes can't ride your dinos, but they can be co-rider of Roos or Gallimimus. they aren't able to open your doors or gates. turrets and plants won't shoot on allied tribe members.
So as most people already know, theres a 500 tame limit. You can not do anything once you have 500 tames already. Most people use over half of those for kibble dinos, the other half gets filled up before you even start breeding dinos.

Is ARK any fun single player?
Absolutely! It's super fun, painful and insane. I rarely do multiplayer and I'm obsessed with the game. I turn on creative mode, download mods and I do the craziest stuff on there.
